Yesterday's
75mi ride took more out my energy and spirit than of what I thought. The severe
wind conditions have just been a mental killer and the forecast for today was
even worse. Norma and I took off at 7AM this morning with a SW wind (head wind)
of 25-35mph. I could not pedal anymore my higher gears. After 25mi at our first
stop in Leoti I was lacking of my good spirit and eagerness to fight this
ferocious winds - but, my body was just out of power today and we got lucky to
meet Lori & Monty for Eads, Colorado - our final destination of today. I am
very grateful for this ride, it saved me at least one day of riding and will keep me continuing tomorrow - and it feels good to take a day off.....
Today, I passed from the Central to the Mountain
time zone.
Nehm dir doch auch mal einen Tag Pause! Du wirst sehen, dass die Beine danach viel besser funktionieren!

DeleteIch weiss, und das habe ich ja heute dank der Mitfahrgelegenheit auch mehrheitlich getan. Einfach Bein hochlagern, aber langweilig...Mein Sitzleder tut mir mehr weh als die Beine, versuche das seit 3 Wochen zu normalisieren, mal besser mal weniger gut...freue mich auf die Berge, welche uebermorgen auf mich warten....Hoffe bei Euch auch alles gut, gruesse alle herzlich von mir. Pierre
